Is there an application for sage like Mathematica Player (CDF Player) - something that allows users to run Sage codes without needing to download and install the complete Sage package on their machines?
I literally just emailed someone about precisely this thing. You should try the Sage cell server.

Now, one does need a web-enabled device for this. So there is that. But note that (as far as I understand it) the CDF player basically is Mma except without being allowed to do anything with it other than play CDF files, so it's perhaps not quite as light-weight as one might think.
@kcrisman Thanks, but there can be a huge difference between an online manipulation and an offline one especially on a slow internet connection, e.g. your example doesn't look smooth - in contrast to a similar CDF Player manipulation. I don't know how, but the previous versions of CDF Player installation were below 100 MB, while at the same time Mathematica installation was about 1 GB.
