Quick question please. Firstly, I must admit that I have not used open id before. I signed into sagenb.org with my google id and then created a profile, say abcde; it did not request me to enter password or anything. I signed out and later when I signed in again using my google id, it kept on refusing to let me use the same profile abcde. Am I doing something wrong? or are we to use different profile every time?

Please help. Thanks.

Just to be clear, to log in using openId you just click the "google" button (or one of the other two) below the sign in button (and then authenticate with google if needed). You shouldn't type anything into the Username and Password fields if you are using openId. Recently sagenb.org changed to accepting new accounts through openId, the Username and Password fields are there only for people who have old existing accounts which are not through openId.

I first made my account a year or so ago, and when I came back, I logged in with my google ID. It worked fine and I accessed everything. Now, a few days after I last worked on stuff in sage, I try to sign in again, and it seems like it doesn't remember me at all - and when I say "yes, I want to use my google ID to sign in", it just shows me a blank workspace with none of my files. Is there any way to get my old account back? It was under the name shoofle, whereas now I can only get to an account under the name linked with my google account. If my old account has a password, I've got no clue what it is...

This answer needs to score a lot higher. I've seen variants of this question asked several times, but this is the only time the reply explicitly stated that the username and password fields are for old non-openID accounts.
